On December 7th we will celebrate 40 years of ministry in our sanctuary at Westside Baptist Church.  We have witnessed hundreds of individuals saved, baptized, and discipled during that time.  It is our desire to invite back former members who have been a part of Westside through the years.  We are planning a special morning of activities along with a free lunch.  We need your help getting the word out this news to former Westside members.

Our activities will start at 9:30 a.m. with an awesome Bible study, followed by an incredible family worship with lunch afterwards. If you can come to this once in a lifetime celebration, please register for the meal by either calling the church (770-972-3800) or sending an email to the church (office@westsidebc.org.)  Also, please consider sharing how Westside impacted your life either in the comment section below or the contact form at the bottom.

You, along with many others, have made Westside strong in the Lord – we are grateful and appreciate your prayers as we continue to build on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ Love,

Pastor Ben

  1. After "shopping" for a church for a couple of years, the Beverly Spence invited us to Westside. I had told Jane, my wife, that I didn't care what denomination a church was, so long as they taught what was in the Bible.

It didn't take us long to learn that Westside is a Bible believing, Jesus loving congregation. It's been 5 years since then, and we rarely miss a Sunday. Jane was baptized there, and I have learned more in those five years about discipleship and leadership than I had in the previous 35 years. We are thankful for Westside, love the congregation and are looking forward to celebrating with our extended family this December!

    In HIS Love,
    The Ruppels

  2. I had come from a negative experience in a church and really didn't care if I joined another one. My husband encouraged me not to give up, and kept taking me to different churches to visit. When we showed up at Westside, the people were great. Right away, they invited me to join the choir, and that special group of folks loved me back into the fold. I've been in the Westside choir ever since, and they are STILL special people! A group of us who all had kids growing up together met once a month or so in each other's homes to pray for our children- we kept it up until they got through college, and those are some of my favorite memories (and favorite kids) to this day.
